The bag
This Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag was a little dirty on the inside and all four ends of the bag’s side straps had torn off. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis / quote, we offered to clean the bag’s interior and repair the side straps, rejoining them at the points where they had torn.
Side strap repair
The customer in this case had tied the ends of the side straps together after they had torn. While this helped to ensure that the side straps remained connected to the bag and did not go missing, they caused the leather to bend quite severely and become dry and firm around the bends. We were able to untie the straps, condition the leather and flatten it before re-glueing and restitching the leather back together as cleanly as possible. While we were not able to immediately remove the bends in the leather, we conditioned the leather (and advised the customer to continue doing so), to nourish it and make it a little more supple where it had hardened.
Interior cleaning
We carefully cleaned the lining and pocket on the inside of the bag, specially treating stains around the base of the bag and helping to get the interior looking much fresher.
