SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Valentino bag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Valentino bag.
The bag
This Valentino Rockstud Calfskin Tote bag was in great shape, but the end of one strap had torn right off the bag, leaving it unwearable. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis / quote, we offered to repair and reattach the torn strap.
Strap repair
While the end of one strap was completely torn on this bag, the leather itself was in good shape — so we recommended a repair (rather than a replacement) of the strap. This involved opening up the adjacent seam and removing the adjacent rockstud, shortening the damaged strap slightly by cutting away the worn portion of the strap, and then re-stitching the strap into place and re-setting the rockstud.
