Repair terms and conditions
SoleHeeled’s repair team employs some of Australia’s best repairers of leather goods, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.
We take great care in repairing customers’ items. We assess the condition of each item once it is in our possession and take reasonable and practical steps to repair it in accordance with the customers’ specifications.
We cannot assume responsibility for irreparable defects or guarantee the repair of defects that are not immediately apparent or clearly communicated to us prior to our receipt of the item. This particularly (but not exclusively) applies to suede and leather. Accordingly, we encourage customers to provide as much information as possible about the items and required repairs during the order / diagnosis process.
We cannot guarantee that attempted repairs will be successful and cannot be held responsible for damage caused to items as a result of repair processes. We will endeavour to communicate these risks to you provided they are reasonably foreseeable. Again, we encourage customers to provide as much information as possible about the items and required repairs during the order / diagnosis process.
Except to the extent disallowed by law, the services provided through this site are provided ‘as is’ with no acceptance of responsibility for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the information on this site — the provision of which will not constitute any representation, warranty or undertaking (either express or implied) that the information is correct or that the information is current and up-to-date.
We reserve the right to refuse services to any customer and reject any item.
If we receive an item at our workshop, and for any reason are unable to complete the repair, we will return the item to the customer and issue a refund equal the amount paid less shipping costs incurred by us in receiving the items at our workshop and sending them back to you.
If we do not receive an item at our workshop within thirty (30) days of a customer receiving a box from us, or we are unable to successfully deliver a repaired item to a customer (due to no fault of our own or the couriers we use) within thirty (30) days of completing the repair, then the customer forfeits any right to a refund or possession and ownership of the item, respectively.
We cannot be held responsible the loss of any buttons, ornaments or anything left inside pockets or any other part of the item in our possession.
Please inspect your items immediately upon receipt and notify us within 48 hours of any complaints, concerns or questions regarding our repairs. Except for zipper- and cleaning-related repairs, our repairs are guaranteed for a period of ninety (90) days. You may return the item to us during this period at your own cost, at which point we will attempt further repairs and then return the item to you at our own cost. If we find that the item is incapable of repair, we will issue you a refund up to a maximum of the amount you paid us for the repair and will not be held responsible for any other loss or damage (such as the cost of replacement or the cost of not having the item available to you for any period of time).
We cannot assume responsibility for loss of or damage to items while in transit. Please consider insuring your items upon shipping them to us.
IN AUSTRALIA, OUR GOODS AND SERVICES COME WITH GUARANTEES THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER THE AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS PURPORTS TO MODIFY OR EXCLUDE THE CONDITIONS, WARRANTIES AND UNDERTAKINGS, AND OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS, UNDER THE AUSTRALIAN COMPETITION AND CONSUMER ACT AND OTHER LAWS. ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS WHICH ARE NOT GUARANTEED BY THE AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW OR THE COMPETITION AND CONSUMER REGULATION 2010 ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED WHERE PERMITTED, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION.
