Zipper replacement
When zippers break, they can often be repaired — provided (with a few exceptions) that the zipper’s teeth are not missing or damaged and the fabric around the teeth is intact. In this case, missing teeth on the zipper meant that we needed to replace the zipper.
We started by carefully removing the existing zipper, slicing through the stitching lines on either side of it. We then glued and stitched into place a new, high-quality YKK zipper made in Japan. We finally removed the original, signature Gucci zipper pull with the bamboo and leather tassel and installed that on the new zipper.
