The shoes

These ECCO shoes were in good shape after several years of wear, except that the soles and the velcro on the straps were heavily worn. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis / quote, we offered to perform a full resole and replace the worn velcro.

Strap velcro replacement

We started off by carefully undoing the stitching that was holding the old velcro strips in place on the straps. We then used the old velcro as a template for cutting new pieces of velcro, which the stitched onto the straps in place of the old velcro.

Sole replacement

We used a special finishing machine to grind down the old soles to flatten them out, leaving the upper part of the soles in place but levelled off so that we could then install a pair of overlaid rubber soles over the top. The outer soles are made from a lightweight, flexible rubber that offers excellent comfort as well as durability.
