The boots

These Django & Juliette boots were brand new, but in need of a sole lift for them to be worn comfortably by their owner. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis / quote, we offered to raise the soles and heels on the right boot by 1.5 centimetres.

Sole and heel lift

We regularly perform sole and heel lifts for consumers who suffer from leg length differences. These help to ensure that the differences are counteracted by the shoes themselves, which have had layers of lightweight rubber added below the original soles — often after surgically slicing off part of those soles before performing the lift and then re-glueing those sliced off parts back into place.

In this case, we started off by removing the heel caps. We then glued the overlaid rubber soles into place before carefully shaping them with a finishing machine (to match the shape of the original soles and heels), and we finally reinstalled the original heel caps over the top of the new rubber on the heels.
