The bag
This Chloé Faye shoulder bag was in decent shape, except that the leather tab to which the magnetic snap closure was attached had fallen off the bag due to the stitches holding it in place having come apart. Leather stitching repair
Reattaching the leather tab to the bag involved carefully stitching the leather, following the original stitching line, carefully directing the thread into the original stitching holes and using a suitable coloured thread. We were sure to reinforce the stitching line by using a strong thread and ‘back stitches’ (basically doubling the thread) on either side.
