SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Fendi bag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Fendi bag.
The bag
The piping around both sides of this Fendi Zucca Shoulder bag was heavily worn, and missing altogether in multiple areas. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote we offered to replace the piping with entirely new, genuine leather matching the appearance of the original piping
Piping replacement
While we are often able to repair damaged piping (without replacing it), the piping on this bag was so extensively and severely damaged that complete replacement of the piping was the only feasible option.
We began by carefully deconstructing the bag in order to remove the piping. We then cut a new cord to size and wrapped it with genuine leather that we had selected to match the appearance of the original piping. We finally stitched the new piping into place and reconstructed the bag.
