The bag
This Gucci Monogram tote bag was destined for the back of the wardrobe or worse, with the canvas throughout the bag withered and fraying, and well beyond repair. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis / quote, we offered to reconstruct the bag with entirely new Gucci monogram canvas.
Canvas replacement
We began by deconstructing the entire bag, carefully unstitching the leather from the canvas throughout the exterior. We then unstitched the canvas along the seams. We used these canvas pieces as templates in cutting new pieces of canvas from fresh Gucci monogram canvas that we had sourced for use on this bag.
We then carefully reconstructed the bag, stitching the canvas and leather panels / parts back together.
The result was a near-new looking bag that our customer could wear with pride.
