The boots

These Church's Monmouth boots were in need of a resole, as the original leather soles were heavily worn. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to perform a full resole and reheel with premium Dainite studded rubber parts.

Full resole

These shoes are made with a Goodyear welted construction, allowing worn soles to be removed and replaced as needed. We started by removing of the heel blocks and then unstitching the old soles from the welt. In this case, the corking (just above the outer soles) was damaged, so we installed new cork before stitching the new Dainite studded rubber soles into place and re-attaching the heel blocks. As leather soles tend to wear quickly, the customer opted for Dainite soles in this case, for enhanced traction, longevity and grip.

Reheel

We began by removing the worn quarter rubber heel caps. We then adhered and nailed the Dainite studded heel caps into place at the base of the heel blocks.
