SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Dior bag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Dior bag.
The bag
The zipper on this Dior bag was broken, with the teeth torn and the slider loose. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to replace the zipper with an entirely new one on which we installed the original Dior pull.
Zipper replacement
While zippers can often be repaired, they cannot when the teeth are damaged. This is similarly the case when the fabric around the teeth is damaged. So the only option here was to replace the zipper, which we did with a nylon coil zipper like the existing — stitching it into place along the original stitching lines at the top of the bag. We also installed the original gold Dior pull on this new zipper.
