The Bag
The suede lining on the inside of this Gucci messenger bag had torn off and worn through in several areas, leaving it beyond repair. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to replace the lining with a new custom leather lining.
Lining replacement
We started off by deconstructing the bag in order to fully access and measure its interior proportions. Having done so, we removed the old lining entirely and then measured the individual pieces of leather we would need to comprise the new leather lining. We then cut these pieces from a durable leather hide and proceeded to stitch these pieces together before installing the new lining on the bag and reconstructing it.
