SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Coach handbag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Coach handbag.
This Coach tote is a high-quality designer bag but was showing signs of wear at points of significant weakness in the bag, where the strap is attached to the bag. As the bag is carried at an angle, most of the weight falls on this joint, and over time the leather loops attaching the strap to the bag were tearing off the bag. When this customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the straps, re-securing them to the bag.
We removed each of the leather loops carefully in order to be able to thereafter reattach each to the bag as cleanly and securely as possible, glueing and then stitching the loops back onto the bag. In doing this, we followed existing stitching lines and used a stronger stitch and in particular a cross-stitch at the ends that would help to reinforce the area and allow it to effectively absorb pressure going forward.
