The shoes

The red soles on these Christian Louboutin flats had become worn and discoloured, especially around the front and the heels of the wearer’s feet. When this customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the original leather red bottoms and protect them with thin rubber soles over the top.

Red bottom repair and protection

We started off by removing all the accumulated dirt and impurities on the leather soles, and grinding down the leather in those places where it was damaged, to help smooth it all out. With the original leather clean and smooth, we proceeded to take a sheet of thin Vibram red rubber, made especially for the red bottoms on Louboutins, and cut two pieces to approximate the shape of the shoes’ soles. We then glued the new rubber soles into place and used a finishing machine to carefully shape them until they perfectly matched the shape of the shoes.
