SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Celine bag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Celine bag.
The bag
One of the leather handles on this Celine Nano luggage handbag was heavily torn. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to replace the handles with a new pair of custom-made leather handles.
Handle replacement
We began by getting underneath the inner lining by undoing the seams at the top of the bag. We then unstitched and removed the old handles. We used these new handles as templates in crafting a new pair of handles complete with new tubing and pockets. In doing this, we used a premium leather like the existing in terms of its texture and finish. Once the new handles were stitched into place on the body of the bag, we proceeded to seal up the inner lining by re-stitching the seams around the top of the bag.
