The boots

These RM Williams Comfort Craftsman boots had been put through a lot over the years and had not aged quite so gracefully as one might have liked — the Dynamic Flex soles and heels were worn through and the leather uppers heavily scuffed and discoloured. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to perform a full re-sole and re-heel using original RM Williams Dynamic Flex soles and heels and to clean, condition and recolour the leather uppers.

Full re-sole and re-heel

We first removed the original soles and heels and then attached a pair of original RM Williams Dynamic Flex soles, stitching them into the welt (which sits between the soles and leather uppers) along the entire length of each boot. We then remove the worn rubber heel caps and replaced them with a new pair of RM Williams Dynamic Flex heels.

Leather cleaning, conditioning and recolouring

We first cleaned and conditioned the leather to remove all dirt and nourish the leather uppers, making them supple enough to absorb the new colour we’d be adding later. We then recoloured / refinished the leather to the original RM Williams colour, effectively restoring the leather uppers to their original condition.
