These Gucci Marmont leather sandals were starting to look a little worn, with the leather dirty and scuffed — particularly around the toes and heel blocks. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to clean and condition the leather throughout the shoes to remove any excess dirt before touching up the remaining discolouration.

Leather cleaning, conditioning and colour restoration

We started off by cleaning away all the dirt around the shoes and then conditioning the leather to make it more supple. This alone left the shoes looking and feeling much healthier and fresh. However, there were a few spots where the leather remained scuffed and discoloured. And so we custom mixed a colour based on the existing and used that to recolour the discoloured leather before using a neutral polish to buff the scuffed leather for a smooth, consistent finish.
