The shoes

These Chanel Ballet flats were looking heavily worn and discoloured after several years of wear. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis / quote, we offered to clean and condition the shoes before recolouring / refinishing the leather and fabric trim to restore its colour.

Leather cleaning and conditioning

We started off by cleaning the leather to ensure all traces of accumulated dirt and impurities had been thoroughly removed, and we then conditioned the leather to nourish it and properly prep it for the recolouring.

Leather and fabric colour restoration

We custom mixed colours based on the original colours of the leather uppers, including the fabric trim, and then used these colours to carefully restore the colour to the leather and lighten the fabric trim around the top of the shoes. We then used specialist finishing agents to seal in the newly applied colour and produce an appropriate texture.
