These RM Williams Comfort Craftsman boots were in relatively good shape, but as the leather uppers had naturally dried and the boots continued to be worn, the leather around the sides of the toes starts to crease, and then crack and eventually tear. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the tears by patching the inner lining and then polishing around the outer leather.

Because the tears on these shoes were quite large (and went through the inner lining as well as the outer leather) we began by installing a small leather patch on the interior of the shoes below the tears. We were able to then glue down the loose leather onto the patch, sealing up the tears as cleanly as possible and reinforcing the leather against further damage. We then proceeded to polish around the outer leather to further reduce the visibility of the damage there.
