The boots

These RM Williams Comfort Craftsman boots were covered in mould and the leather uppers had lost much of their colour. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to clean and condition the boots before specially treating the mould and then re-dyeing and polishing the leather uppers.

Cleaning and mould treatment

We began by cleaning and conditioning the leather uppers to help remove surface dirt / debris and nourish the leather. We then performed a specialist mould treatment, making sure to focus on the areas where the mould had accumulated the most, including the leather heel stacks and the sides of the soles. This helped to remove all of the existing mould and to protect the boots against mould growth going forward.

Colour restoration

With the mould removed and the leather cleaned and conditioned, we proceeded to re-dye the leather uppers to produce a consistent colour and polished the leather uppers with a wax, to buff out the scuffing as much as possible, produce a healthy finish, and protect the leather.
