The sandals

One of the monogram canvas straps on these Louis Vuitton Waterfront mules had torn. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the torn canvas using a thin leather patch underneath for reinforcement.

Strap repair

We began by cleaning the edges on either side of the torn canvas to remove any dirt / debris. We then carefully re-adhered the edges back together using a strong adhesive. We then cut a leather patch from a piece of thin, study leather, and installed it underneath the tear, to reinforce the canvas and prevent the tear from re-opening during wear. This ensured the torn canvas was repaired without compromising the aesthetic or look of the strap.
