The sandals

These Birkenstock Arizona sandals were well-worn, with the outer soles worn right through and the cork footbeds worn into around the back. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to rebuild the footbeds with new cork and perform a resole.

Full resole

We began by removing the worn outer outsoles, using a combination of heat and specialist pliers to carefully pull them off. We levelled off the cork footbed by smoothing / flattening the surface of the cork where it had been worn into and inserting new cork. Once the glue was dry, we sanded around the edges of the build-up to ensure it was flush with the rest of the footbeds. We finally installed a new pair of Birkenstock outer soles, which we carefully sanded around the edges for a perfect fit.
