The Wallet

This Hermès Soie-Cool wallet was in decent shape, but the silk exterior had become dirty and stained with use. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to clean the silk and treat the stains.

Silk cleaning and stain treatment

We began by cleaning the silk and leather throughout the exterior of the wallet. Silk is a delicate material where any abrasive rubbing during the cleaning process can do more harm than good, so a gentle approach was important.

With the surface dirt and impurities removed, the wallet was already looking much fresher. However, some stubborn stains remained in the silk. We then proceeded to treat the silk with a specialist stain treating agent. And while the results of stain treatments can vary, especially on silk, as this largely depends on the cause and age of the stain, we were glad to see the stains come out and the silk looking fresh.
