The wallet

This Burberry Elmore wallet was generally in good shape, except both the internal and external zippers had broken and become unusable. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the external zipper and replace the internal zipper.

Exterior zipper repair

The exterior zipper was still in tact, but the teeth would fail to join as the zipper was closed — leaving the zipper open as the slider ran across the zipper’s teeth. We were able to repair this zipper by repairing the runner, which had gradually loosened with use.

Interior zipper replacement

We removed the old zipper by undoing the stitching lines along the sides. We then sourced a suitable, matching nylon replacement zipper which we stitched into place along the original stitching lines. We were able to re-use the original zipper runner and pull, installing them on the new zipper.
