The sneakers

The canvas around the back of these Converse All Stars sneakers was heavily worn, with the back lining torn through in several places. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the tears and reline the back of each shoe.

Tear repair

We began by selecting a durable piece of leather in a colour similar to the existing lining on the shoes. We then cut the leather to fit the shape of the back of the shoes, and skived / thinned the leather along the edges. We then adhered and stitched the new lining into place on both shoes in the pair to seal up the tears and reinforce the back of the shoes against further damage.
