The shoes

The heel caps and insoles on these Prada studded heels were worn, leaving the shoes imbalanced, difficult to walk in, and dangerously close to having the leather heel blocks irreversibly damaged. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to re-heel the shoes and replace the insoles.

Insole replacement

We removed the old leather insoles and then used them to cut out matching shapes from a fresh piece of premium leather. The customer sought a more comfortable, padded pair of insoles without sacrificing the uniquely premium look and feel of leather soles, and so we installed a pair of flexible pads on the heels before glueing the new leather insoles in place.

Reheel

We removed the old heel caps, which are the thin layers of rubber at the tips of the heel blocks. We then glued a pair of new rubber heel caps to the base of each heel block before sanding down the sides to match the shape of the heel blocks, and then used a few brass nails through the new heel caps for extra reinforcement in holding everything in place.
