The shoes
These Gucci lace up shoes were largely in good condition, but the heels and soles had worn down and lost their tread, and the insoles and laces were worn and in need of replacement. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to perform a full resole and reheel, and to replace the insoles and laces.
Full resole and reheel
We began by removing the existing soles and heels from the uppers. Once these old parts were removed, we selected a new pair of replacement Vibram heels and soles that worked with the shape and style of the shoes. These Vibram parts are Italian-made and designed for excellent durability, traction and comfort for the wearer. The new soles were adhered into place against the original midsoles (which were in tun Blake-stitched into the base of the leather uppers.
Insole replacement
The old insoles were heavily worn / tearing around the heels. We removed the old insoles and replaced them with a new pair of German-made Tacco leather insoles.
Lace replacement
The old laces had begun fraying. So we removed and replaced them, with a new pair of black, rounded laces similar to the existing.
