SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Chanel bag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Chanel bag.
The bag
This Chanel bag was in good condition, except the side gussets had lost their shape and become distorted. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to firm up the inner lining to restore the bag's original form and structure.
Reshape
The leather around the side gussets was not damaged, but had become deformed through wear. We began by carefully undoing the inner lining on the interior of the bag, to access the areas around the side gussets. We then installed a firm ‘backing’ material between the inner lining and the outer leather where the shape had been lost, before of course re-sealing the lining.
