The shoes

These Yuketen Canoe Moc boat shoes were looking worse for wear, with the soles heavily worn and the leather uppers dry and in need of a refresh. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to replace the soles and clean, condition and polish the leather uppers.

Resole

We began by removing the exisiting “Blake-stitched” soles — carefully pulling them away from the inner soles into which they were stitched. We then selected a new pair of correctly sized boat shoe soles and stitched them into place before finishing the edges.

We then carefully cleaned the leather uppers to remove accumulated dirt and impurities on the surface of the leather, conditioned the leather to nourish it, and polished the leather (with a neutral, non-pigmented polish) to buff out the scuffing as much as possible. This allowed us to get the leather uppers looking and feeling much fresher.
