The shoes

The heels and soles on these Ferragamo ballet flats were heavily worn. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to perform a full resole, installing new leather soles and rubber heel caps.

Full resole

While leather soles are often repairable, the customer in this case preferred a full resole, considering the extent of the wear on the original soles. This involved removing the heel blocks and then removing the soles from the uppers. We then adhered into place a new pair of full-length leather soles that we shaped to fit the shape of these shoes.

Reheel

With the new soles in place, we then nailed the original heel block into place and adhered a pair of durable rubber heel caps over the top of them. As with the soles, we carefully shaped these new heels to fit the shape of the shoes.
