Bag / Shoe Spa Technician
Location: Sydney, Australia
We are looking for leather restoration specialists who can clean and restore used leather goods and accessories, including bags, footwear and garments. You will be directly responsible for individual customers' items, working on them from start to finish. Your work will be integral to SoleHeeled's continued growth and success.
What you'll be doing
Cleaning, polishing and removing stains on leather, canvas/fabric and hardware.
Recolouring and refinishing surfaces.
Sourcing and selecting suitable products for use on particular items.
What we're expecting
Passion for the restoration of fashion items and confidence in SoleHeeled's vision.
At least 12 months of relevant experience.
Familiarity with the various specialist cleaning and restoration methods.
Experience working on premium fashion goods with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work with varying degrees of speed and attention to detail, depending on the type of work being performed.
Experience working in teams with minimal supervision.
Resourcefulness and a readiness to achieve the best possible results.
Permanent rights to work in Australia.
Bonus skills / experience
Experience with leather work or repairs.
Experience with mixing dyes and paints to match colours.
Willingness to supervise and teach junior staff.
Ability to offer excellent customer service whenever necessary.
Ability to source products from suppliers and manage inventory.
Ability to perform related services, e.g. bag making, shoemaking, footwear and bag repairs.
